What’s being done to protect workers from heat illness?

As temperatures rise during the summer – and throughout the year – Safety+Health looks at ongoing federal and state efforts to keep workers safe. The complexity of OSHA’s proposed rule on protecting workers from extreme heat exposure in indoor and outdoor settings requires additional time and patience. Calls for quick action have been made, but the unique nature of the regulation necessitates careful consideration.
