4 of the biggest OSHA fines of Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, OSHA highlighted four construction fines exceeding $100K in initial citation costs. These cases involved contractors who failed to adhere to safety standards, resulting in fatalities, injuries, or repeated violations. Some notable fines include R Construction Civil LLC with $257,822, Goldstar Excavation and Sewer with $206,698, and United Custom Homes LLC with $151,260 in proposed penalties. The contractors are contesting the fines, and OSHA aims to raise awareness of safety standards and hold non-compliant companies accountable.
