OSHA Signs Alliance With Crane Operators
- OSHA’s Crane Safety Agreement:
- OSHA has signed a two-year agreement with the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and the NCCCO Foundation to enhance safety for crane operators.
- Focus on Construction Hazards:
- The agreement aims to provide certified crane operators with training and resources to address the four primary construction hazards: falls, caught-in or between objects, struck-by objects or equipment, and electrocution.
- Safety Measures and Alerts:
- Alliance participants will use data to develop safety alerts, address crane load safety issues, and provide updates on OSHA’s load-handling regulations.
- Compliance and Training Collaboration:
- The collaboration will assist employers and operators in complying with OSHA regulations and establish relationships between CCO’s test sites and OSHA’s field offices for training opportunities.
